Welcome Home

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.” Psalm 23:1-3

Here at Good Shepherd,
we want you to feel like family.

As part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), we believe that the Christian Church is more than just a building. It’s a special bond between believers. It’s common ground, despite our differences. It’s coming together as children of God - united in Jesus Christ, our risen Savior. It’s unwavering accountability walking hand-in-hand with grace and mercy. It’s a safe and caring place to belong. Are we perfect? No. We’re just regular people, seeking to follow God’s will through learning His Word & doing the best we can to live it out. You won’t find any “perfect Christians” within our walls. But what you will find is a tight-knit family whose members cling to Christ’s promises and to each other as we walk through this crazy, wonderful life together.

Sola gratia - Sola Fide - Solus Christus - Sola Scriptura - Soli Deo Gloria.
We believe that humankind is saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone,
as Divinely spoken and recorded for us in Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone.

LHM Daily Devotion messages are based on the church calendar's three-year lectionary, Psalms, the Old Testament, the New Testament, and Gospel texts. Additional devotions explore a hymn from the Lutheran Service Book, a "classic" text from some LHM resource, and a sermon excerpt by a previous Speaker for The Lutheran Hour®. “Come, Let Us Adore Him” - LHM Advent Devotions 2024

It is true that God deserves our worship and praise for all that He has done for us. And in the birth of Jesus into our world, born to save us from our sins, born to give us eternal life—God has given us His very Best. To which we can only respond: “Come, Let Us Adore Him!”

The events surrounding Jesus’ birth—the prophecies foretold and fulfilled, the birth of John to point to Jesus, the divine way God guided Mary and Joseph, the preservation of Jesus’ life from King Herod—all speak to God’s intimate involvement in our salvation. This is the God we adore—the God who spared not His own Son but gave Him up for us all.

Daily Devotions from LHM will help strengthen and encourage your faith as you do the same for others. Have them delivered right to your inbox, podcast the audio devotional, access them on your mobile device through the FREE app, or listen with Spotify, iHeart Radio, Alexa, or Google Home. Seasonal Devotions for Advent and Lent are available here in both English and Spanish, as well as in French, from our ministry center in Canada. Perfect for personal reflection or to share with family, friends and congregations, these seasonal meditations will help prepare you to celebrate the true meaning of these seasons.
