Belvoir Christian Academy

Making disciples for Jesus, encouraging lifelong learners, and valuing students in a nurturing community.

Historic.

In 1887, the members of First Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee founded a Lutheran school to provide religious and secular training for children within the church. The school has been in continuous operation since that time and completed its 130th year on June 3, 2017. The school is jointly supported by First Lutheran Church on McCallie Avenue and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (next-door to the school) on Belvoir Avenue.

In 2006, the Lutheran School was renamed "Belvoir Christian Academy" to be reflective of the local Belvoir area, as well as to indicate its Christian heritage and beliefs. Today's building, completed in 1973, is now home to 200 students - ministering to infants through eighth grade.

Quality.

BCA offers small class sizes (an average of 11 students per class) allowing for more one-on-one attention, as well as a focus on spiritual growth and providing a nurturing, family environment. The result? Their students benefit from a small, close-knit school with a variety of extracurricular activities.

The search for a new school is an exciting adventure, so be sure to check out Belvoir Christian Academy's unique community along your way.

“What a blessing to be a part of this wonderful school. The entire staff is amazing! The environment/atmosphere is extremely welcoming and loving. Students learn in a nurturing environment and are given individual attention which allows them to thrive. The moment my son and I walked through the doors to tour we felt right at home. We immediately fell in love with every aspect of BCA and our love and appreciation for the school and staff grows daily. There is no school I would recommend over Belvoir Christian Academy.”
