Welcome to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church!
We hope you will stop by and join us in person.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
822 Belvoir Ave
Chattanooga, TN 37412
Where should I park?
All parking is accessible from Belvoir Ave. For easy access to the Traditional service at 9:00 AM or the Grace Place Saturday evening service at 6:00 PM, parking nearest the main entrance with the church sign will put you closest to the sanctuary. Enter the sanctuary through the main entry doors under the covered area. You may also drive through and drop off at this entrance. A greeter will welcome you here!
If attending the Contemporary worship service at 11:15 AM, proceed to the end of the church building and make a right. This parking area is nearest the rear entry doors to the fellowship hall where the Contemporary service is held. There are several visitor spaces along the back of the church by the glass entry doors at the far end of the building.
What should I wear?
We have no expectations for attire. You will see some dressed up, and some dressed casually. We welcome you to come as you are.
Where do my kids go?
Children are welcome to stay with their families during worship services, but childcare is available at both the Traditional and Contemporary services. Infants and young children may go at any time during the service to the nursery located upstairs at the end of the main hallway. There are two rooms with toys and activities, one for infants and one for older toddlers – Pre-K. We know the safety of your children is important and ask that you please accompany them to and from the nursery.
There is also a Cry Room available on the rear, right side of the sanctuary where you may still hear and view the Traditional service with toys and books for your child.
Older children may choose to attend Children’s Church during the sermon where they will hear Bible lessons and complete activities. This is available during the Contemporary service. The pastor will dismiss children to go with the teacher during service and the teacher will bring the group back at the conclusion of the sermon. Be sure to ask them what they’ve learned!
During the Grace Place service on Saturdays there is a Lamb’s Time during the service where the pastor invites children up for a story/lesson.
