GSLC partners with the Mustard Tree Ministry, an outreach of First Centenary United Methodist Church, to help the homeless community by providing and serving a tasty hot meal. Grace Notes provides musical entertainment.
Everyone welcome to serve
Since 2006, the first Thursday of every month, GSLC has been providing meals to feed at least 150 individuals. We have committed volunteers who deliver the meals and serve but we can always use more help. Everyone is welcome to serve, including youth, and aprons are provided.
We meet at First Baptist of Chattanooga (401 Gateway Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37402) between 5:30-5:45pm in the Fellowship Hall. It’s in the lower level, enter through two sets of double basement doors on the far east side of the building, take first door on right into Fellowship Hall and walk back behind the stage to kitchen area.
Feeding the Homeless is funded by the Good Shepherd Outreach Board. Donations welcomed to cover the cost of these meals, please direct your gifts to Outreach. Additionally the LWML occasionally provides men’s and women’s care bags. For more information contact Ron Morris at (423)596-2704 or email@example.com.
Grace Notes is a trio of musicians from Good Shepherd that play at the Feeding the Homeless outreach, the Enlarger ICU outreach and other occasions by request. Contact for the group is Sandy Morris – firstname.lastname@example.org
